WSOP 2007: Jeffrey LisandroThe New "Best All Around" Race |
|
Card Player caught up with Australian pro Jeffrey Lisandro at the World Series of Poker.
Card Player: How has the Series gone for you so far? We know there was one big highlight.
Jeffrey Lisandro: Well, it has all gone really well so far. I would like to make another result to get the best points lead again. But having said that, I've been quite fortunate so far.
(Lisandro has five cashes in the WSOP so far, including a bracelet in the $2,000 stud event and a second in the $5,000 pot-limit Omaha. Until Tom Schneider won his second bracelet, Lisandro has been the overall point leader for the new Best All Around WSOP Player award. He now trails Tom in all around points 255 to 220.)
CP: Have you been playing as many events as you had planned back on June 1?
JL: No, I had no intention of playing so many events but, because of this points thing, once I was leading, I decided I might as well go for it. I guess we will try to play as many as we can in the time remaining.
CP: So there are a couple more events and then, of course, you are playing the main event.
JL: A few more in the next several days, yes. The main doesn't count for the overall award but I will play that, of course.
CP: Do you have your day yet for the main event?
JL: Yes, I am going to play the second day, Day 1B.
