Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones, a defensive back in the National Football League, was arrested at an Indiana casino early Wednesday morning.
Jones, who has a long history of run-ins with law enforcement over his 14-year NFL career, was arrested around 3 a.m. at Rising Sun Casino, located on the Indiana side of the border with Kentucky and 40 miles southwest of Cincinnati.
Jones, 35, was arrested for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, intimidation and resisting arrest. Those were his official listed charges with the police, but the entire situation stems from Jones being suspected of cheating at a table game.
The Indiana Gaming Commission responded to a report from the casino that one of the patrons was possibly cheating. According to a statement from the commission, the patron in question was Jones and he became “combative” with agents. The police were called and Jones was detained.
Jones was held without bail and won’t be set free until after a court hearing on Thursday. He was being held at Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
Jones spent the majority of his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Last year, he played for the Denver Broncos and is currently a free agent.
The report didn’t specify which casino game Jones was playing.
