Today is a big day at the Rio.
First, the second expo devoted to gaming, which was renamed the Gaming Life Expo - Girls, Game and Gear, begins its four-day run at the Rio today. The expo takes place in a convention room near the Rio.
At noon today, PokerTek unveils its latest product, a heads-up for-amusement-only game that will be distributed to bars across the country. The World Series of Poker-themed game will be first played by Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak in the Amazon Room. WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack will also be there.
At 4 p.m., Don Cheadle's $5,000 Ante Up for Africa no-limit hold'em tournament will take place. Many celebs will be on hand for the tournament, and the participants are asked to donate 50 percent of their winnings to Ante Up for Africa-designated charities that are also working to expose the travesties that have been going on in Darfur for the past few years.
Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Adam Sandler, Ray Romano, Dean Cain, Martin Sheen, Charles Barkley, Hank Azaria, and Cheryl Hines have all committed. To get a glimpse of the players, head to the red carpet event that will take place outside the Amazon Room at 3:15 p.m.
