According to a press release from Chinook Winds, a tribal casino in Lincoln City, one of their patrons hit the jackpot for $1.585 million on Saturday morning.

The gambler was a visitor from Portland and won the Grand Jackpot on a ‘MONOPOLY Hot Shot’ Wide Area Progressive slot machine. The player was betting 300 credits per spin, which amounts to $3 a pull before he drilled the top payout.

The wide area progressive jackpot means it was a jackpot that was built from gamblers at slot machines all over the state, and not just by players at Chinook Winds.

“It’s always exciting to see a guest walk away a winner,” said Chinook Winds Casino Resort Director of Operations William Robertson in the release. “At this amount it brings on an entirely different feel. Chinook Winds would like to congratulate the guest on their life-altering jackpot.”

Back in January, a California woman nearly collapsed after her penny slot machine at the Eagle Mountain Casino paid out a jackpot worth $562,262.
