A photo and video featuring high-stakes poker pro Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates has had the poker world buzzing over the last couple days.
Poker personality Joe Ingram tweeted a photo over the weekend that he found on a poker forum of Cates seemingly meditating on a table overlooking a coastline while surrounded by naked women. The photo, in and of itself, sparked plenty of discussion about where Cates was and his motivation behind staging the photo.
But that was just the beginning of Cates’ foray into becoming poker’s newest playboy. Ingram also tweeted a music video yesterday that featured Cates playing poker with several scantily-clad, and eventually naked women. It also featured a fairly graphic sex scene between Cates and one of his opponents.
The video had some of poker’s biggest names buzzing about Cates’ latest antics, including six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu, who echoed the confusion most felt when watching the video for the first time.

Cates is known for his cash game prowess. He plays in some of the biggest games in the world and made a name for himself by playing nosebleed-stakes online He was one of two players to accept Tom Dwan’s ‘Durrrr Challenge’ on Full Tilt Poker before Black Friday and was up $1.2 million about 40 percent through the 50,000 hands necessary to complete the challenge.
Aside from his cash game success, Cates also has more than $6 million in career tournament earnings.
