A former poker pro and Jeopardy! champion is having trouble collecting a $20,000 jackpot he won from the HQ trivia app.

Alex Jacob, a former poker pro with more than $2.6 million in live tournament earnings, tweeted two days ago that he won a jackpot on the app about a month ago and has yet to be paid.

Jacob is clearly a savant when it comes to trivia games. He won six straight Jeopardy! appearances in 2015 for $151,802. Those appearances qualified him for the show’s Tournament of Champions, which he won for another $250,000.

There are several stories similar to Jacob’s in the HQ subreddit, where customers have not gotten paid. Jacob’s chances of being paid by the app are not looking good.

He was the first prominent gambler to make a splash on the game show. More recently, professional sports bettor James Holzhauer was on a historic Jeopardy! pace. The Las Vegas resident won $2.4 million in 33 appearances.

While a sports bettor, Holzhauer is friends with several poker pros and recently took a shot in the $1,500 no-limit hold’em super turbo bounty and teamed up with Mike Sexton in the $1,000 no-limit hold’em tag team event. He busted both of those tournaments outside the money.
