The third and final flight of the $1,100 no-limit hold’em Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Hotel & Casino main event wrapped up on Friday with the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool nearly surpassed without even accounting for the Day 2 buy-ins.

With 231 entries in Saturday’s Day 1C, there are already 478 entries through the starting flights and $478,000 in the prize pool already.

Anybody who wants in on the action can take advantage of the Quantum structure of the tournament. They can buy directly into Day 2 for $4,300. Those players will receive 120,000 in chips. Only six players need to register on Day 2 for the $500,000 guarantee to be met.

Vuong Do finished Day 1C with the chip lead. He’ll take 270,000 in chips and the overall lead into Day 2. Do just edged out Day 1B chip leader Peter Chu, who finished Friday with 269,500 for the overall lead.

Other top stacks from Saturday’s flight include Michael Ung (227,000), Nathan Brady (225,500), Joseph Baghdadlian (217,000) and Douglas Williams (214,500). Other notables to make it through Saturday’s action are Chris Grigorian (169,500), Bill Klein (154,000), World Poker Tour Champion Dylan Linde (142,500), seven-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner Sean Yu (120,500), Said El Harrak (83,500), and Matthew Lambrecht (53,000). Klein survived Day 1B as well, but with a shorter stack. He will take Saturday’s stack into Sunday’s action.

Global Poker LIVE qualifier Jeremy HundleyGlobal Poker sent 30 online qualifiers to Southern California for this event with some qualifying for as little as SC$6.60. Of those 30, nine players survived their respective Day 1 and have a shot at finishing in the money.

James Salmon (198,000), Tim Spears (133,500), Brendon Williams (122,000), Logan Yates (120,500), Jeremy Hundley (105,000), Marty Martin (64,500), Joseph Leone (58,000), Matthew Buscher (50,500) and Joris Springael (40,000) are the nine qualifiers who will be in action on Sunday.

Global Poker’s latest promotion will give new accounts a SC$100 signup bonus.

With 231 entries in Day 1C, the tournament was scheduled to play down to the final 58 players before bagging up for the night. But with multiple eliminations on the final hand of the night, only 56 made it through. Saturday’s survivors will combine with the 62 players that made it through the first two flights to bring back at least 117 players on Sunday at noon for Day 2.

When cards get in the air on Sunday, levels will be increased to 50 minutes and the blinds will start at 1,000-2,000 with a 2,000 big blind ante. Sunday is scheduled to play 13 levels or down to the final table. Whichever comes first.
