In this new "Strip Poker" series, Card Player covers the Las Vegas poker scene - on the Strip and around the city.
The Venetian poker room is running a $50,000 freeroll promotion. Players can qualify for the tournament by logging a minimum of 50 hours in the month of August.
Starting today through Aug. 31, players can rack up the hours by playing in any of the various cash games offered. The Venetian poker room boasts 39 tables. Regular cash games include $1-$2 to $5-$10 no-limit hold'em and $4-$8 to $15-$30 limit hold'em.
The freeroll tournament is scheduled to begin on Sept. 7 and end on Sept. 9. The top 50 players are paid, and first place will receive $10,000.
