In this new "Strip Poker" series, Card Player covers the Las Vegas poker scene - on the Strip and around the city.
Poker players, rev your engines. The Palms poker room is raffling away a 2007 Mustang to one lucky player.
To participate in the promotion, players must log at least 48 hours in a live cash game. They must sign up for a Palms card to clock in and out of each session. Once this is complete, the player is given six tickets for the raffle. For every eight hours played after that, another ticket is rewarded. More hours spent grinding at a cash table equals a greater chance of a new car.
The Palms offers $1-$2 and $2-$5 no-limit hold'em, as well as $2-$4 and $4-$8 limit hold'em with a half kill, on a regular basis.
The drawing will take place at 8 p.m. on Sept. 3, and in addition to the car, cash prizes will also be rewarded. Names will be drawn to give away $1,000, $800, $600, $400, and $200. Players must be present to win. For more information about this promotion or the poker room, call 702-942-6961.
