The Global Poker Summer Series is officially in the books, and by all accounts it was a massive success. The 20-day online poker tournament series saw a whopping 45 Gold Coin events and 45 Sweeps Coins events play out, paying out huge prizes to the eventual winners and final tablists.
The 500,000,000 Gold Coin guarantee was crushed by more than 200,000,000 GC, and more than 2,270,000 was won in Sweeps Coins. More than 7,000 players participated in the Gold Coin events, and another 11,000 took part in the Sweeps Coins events.
The site now looks forward to the upcoming GOAT tournament series, which will run from Aug. 3-23. In the meantime, Global Poker continues to draw big fields with their Sunday Teaser and Sunday Scrimmage events.
