In this new "Strip Poker" series, Card Player covers the Las Vegas poker scene - on the Strip and around the city.

The Celebrity Poker Shootout charity tournament to benefit the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada is taking place this Sunday at the Palms, and it is not too late to help.

A seat into the tournament to play with the likes of Erica Schoenberg, David Benyamin, Eli Elezra, Mike Matusow, and Evelyn Ng is a recommended donation of $450. In addition to the tournament, there will also be a nonperishable food drive. Guests who bring those and/or toiletries including shampoo, soap, and lotion, will receive a Full Tilt gift bag. Full Tilt and Pro Player energy drink are the official sponsors of this event.

The tournament begins at 11 a.m. in the Key West ballroom. Registration and a complimentary breakfast start at 10 a.m. The winner will receive a $10,000 seat into the 2008 World Series of Poker main event.
