World College Poker is set to launch its first-ever Fall Brawl tournament this December on the PokerBROS social gaming platform. The event will be free-to-play for students currently enrolled at a college or university in the United States.

Registration is now open for this event at the official WCP website, with prizes provided by and or supported by sponsors of the event, including Card Player Media.

Among the prizes up for grabs in this event are an engraved championship belt awarded for the eventual champion, and a six-day hotel resort stay in Cancun, private lessons with top players such as high-stakes poker legend Patrik Antonius, and two-time World Poker Tour main event champion Jonathan Little. Also up for grabs are gift cards, apparel, and much more.

“World College Poker (WCP) was created to give the players of tomorrow a platform to strut their stuff and cement their name in poker history alongside the greats like Chan, Brunson, Hellmuth, Negreanu, Ivey, and many more,” said a statement on the WCP website.

In order to participate in the 2020 WCP Fall Brawl, student players must be at least 18 years of age. The tournament will feature a unique format, with two divisions each sending four representatives.

“The West division will play down to four players on the PokerBROS app on Dec. 5 and the East division will play down to four players on Dec. 6. The eight finalists will compete for top prizes, title bragging rights, and the championship belt on Dec. 12,” explained the official WCP website.

Students that want to play should download the PokerBROS app, select the tournament (2020 FALL BRAWL registration is currently open), register for the tournament by clicking the appropriate region for your college, and then get ready to compete in the Regional Championship event.

High-stakes poker legend Patrik Antonius“I wish World College Poker was around when I was in college!” said Patrik Antonius, who is offering a poker coaching session as one of the prizes up for grabs.

Some of the sponsors for the Fall Brawl include PokerCoaching.com, First Land of Poker (FLOP), RunGood Gear, RedChipPoker, CannaNano CBD water, PLOQuickPro, Aquarian Bookshop, RealGrindersApparel, PokerPowher, and Magical Gnome Media.

Prolific poker author and coach Alex Fitzgerald said, "Some of the wildest games I ever played were in frat houses and school halls. It’s great World College Poker is organizing tournaments for college players with cool prizes. They’re taking these games to the next level and I love it!”

“Besides the thrill of gameplay amongst college students, there are a myriad of life lessons to acquire from learning poker,” said WCP co-founder Craig Tapscott. “Poker teaches many skills to survive in today’s dog-eat-day business world, such as strategic thinking, money management, psychology, and risk assessment.”
