In this new "Strip Poker" series, Card Player covers the Las Vegas poker scene - on the Strip and around the city.

When players walk into the Caesars Palace poker room in Las Vegas, they pass through a hallway adorned with original LeRoy Neiman artwork and walk into a 14,000-square-foot room. It is spacious despite its more than 60 tables.

The front room is reserved for 29 cash game tables that are all equipped with automatic shufflers to ensure efficient hand turnover. The regular games include $1-$3, $2-$5, and $5-10 No-limit hold'em and $3-$6 and $6-$12 limit hold'em. On nights and weekends, there are also occasional $1-$2 pot-limit Omaha and $4-$8 H.O.R.S.E. games. Any game can be played as long as there is sufficient interest.

The back of the poker room is a separate area with more than 30 tables for tournaments. There are several scheduled No-limit hold'em tournaments every day.

A ladies only tournament takes place every Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The buy-in is $75 and the blinds go up every 30 minutes.

As a promotion, Caesars Palace is giving away an additional prize on top of first-place money in these two tournaments. All winners in the weekly pot-limit Omaha and ladies tournament also receive a seat into the respective event in the Caesars Palace Classic set to take place in October.
