Professional poker player and CEO of Card Player Media Barry Shulman gave listeners an inside track to his almost 50 years of poker experience in an interview he did for sports radio recently.

In the interview, which was aired on Aug. 24 on Houston-based Sports Radio 610 with Adam Wexler and Danny Vera, Shulman talked about the current climate of poker, his decision to buy Card Player, the new breed of poker players, and the Legends of Poker tournament.

Shulman told the interviewers that Phil Hellmuth is a player who is very different away from the table compared to how he comes off on TV. He also said that one of the players he does not like seeing sitting at his table is Mike "The Mouth" Matusow.

"A guy who is extremely tough to play against is Mike Matusow," Shulman said. "He's very annoying, and I think he's annoying on purpose. He's a good friend of mine, but he's annoying when you go out to dinner with him. You've got to say, 'Mike, shut up.'"
