KFC, the fried chicken franchise founded by Colonel Harland Sanders, has hired three professional poker players to help sell its chicken.
Gavin Smith,
David Williams, and
Paul Wasicka will soon appear in KFC commercials that will be shown on ESPN during the
World Series of Poker broadcast. They will talk about their ability to read people while munching on chicken.
This isn't the first time that professional poker players will be used to hawk a national product on TV.
Phil Hellmuth,
Scotty Nguyen, and
Daniel Negreanu all starred in a Diet Pepsi commercial in 2006 in which the Diet Pepsi can beat their pants off at a poker table.
