Bradley Ruben has won his second World Series of Poker gold bracelet, with both of his victories coming in pot-limit Omaha events. Ruben secured his second piece of WSOP hardware by defeating a 551-entry field in the 2021 WSOP Online $600 buy-in pot-limit Omaha six-max event. He overcame a stacked final table to secure the title and the top prize of $69,148.

Ruben’s first bracelet was won in the international segment of the 2020 WSOPO. In that event, Ruben beat a field of 990 entries in a $1,5000 buy-in PLO tournament to secure the first-place payout of $220,160. The Florida native now has more than $720,000 in recorded tournament earnings to his name.

Big names among the 66 in-the-money finishers included bracelet winner Ari ‘PalmTreeB’ Engel (59th – $1,131), Shannon ‘Aulophobia’ Shorr (35th – $1,398), bracelet winner and recent Wynn Millions runner-up Clayton ‘NevarLucky’ Maguire (28th – $1,874), bracelet winner Andrew ‘WATCHGUY42’ Lichtenberger (22nd – $2,261), and Jason ‘TheBigGift’ Gooch (12th – $3,600).

The final table began with Ruben in the chip lead. World Poker Tour champion Dylan ‘thedogsofwar’ Wilkerson was the first to fall. He got his last few big blinds in on a QClub Suit9Heart Suit5Spade Suit flop holding JSpade SuitJClub Suit7Spade Suit2Heart Suit. he was up against the KSpade Suit10Spade Suit9Club Suit5Club Suit of Michael ‘BrockLesnar’ Holtz. The KClub Suit turn and 3Club Suit river gave Holz a club flush, sending Wilkerson to the rail in sixth place ($8,956). Holz continued his knockout spree by busting Troy ‘troyrlee’ Lee in fifth place ($12,764). Holtz took a healthy lead into four-handed play as a result.

Ruben closed the gap considerably by winning the next key hand of the final table. Three-time bracelet winner Ben ‘WhyIsGamora’ Yu raised from the button and then called all-in for 526,314 with ASpade SuitQClub SuitJDiamond Suit5Club Suit. Ruben, who had three-bet from the big blind, held QSpade SuitQHeart Suit5Diamond Suit4Spade Suit. The board ran out KClub Suit10Heart Suit4Heart Suit6Heart Suit2Club Suit and Ruben’s pocket queens were enough to send Yu home in fourth place ($18,656).

Alex FoxenWPT champ and high-stakes tournament regular Alex Foxen is still looking for his first bracelet. He matched his previous best finish in a bracelet event by making the final three in this tournament, but was ultimately unable to progress further. He got his last chips in on a JDiamond Suit8Spade Suit3Spade Suit6Heart Suit board with ASpade SuitKSpade Suit10Diamond Suit6Spade Suit. He found himself at risk facing the ADiamond SuitQSpade Suit3Diamond Suit3Club Suit of Ruben for bottom set. The river brought the 4Heart Suit and Foxen was eliminated in third place, earning $27,909 for his deep run.

Ruben took more than a 3:1 chip lead into heads-up play with Holtz after busting Foxen. it didn’t take too long for him to convert that lead into the title. In the final hand, Holtz limped in from the button for 100,000 total with AHeart SuitKDiamond Suit9Club Suit5Heart Suit. Ruben raised to 300,000 holding KHeart SuitQSpade Suit10Heart Suit4Spade Suit and Holtz reraised to 900,000. Ruben called and the flop came down 9Spade Suit5Spade Suit3Spade Suit. Ruben checked his flopped flush and Holtz checked behind. The turn was the 8Heart Suit. Ruben bet 1,800,000 and Holtz called all-in for less. Holtz had two pair, but needed to improve to a full house on the river to stat alive. The 6Spade Suit was of no help to Holtz and he was knocked out in second place, earning $42,816 as the runner-up.
