The high-stakes live tournament poker world is once again set to descend to the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas this fall for another action-packed series of high roller events: the 2021 Poker Masters. The 12-event festival will run from Sept. 7-19 and feature buy-ins from $10,000 all the way up through the $100,000 final event.

In addition to nine no-limit hold’em events at various buy-in levels, there will also be two pot-limit Omaha events and an eight-game tournament on the schedule. The highest-stakes non-hold’em event will be the $25,000 buy-in PLO tournament which will kick off on Sept. 15.

Sam Soverel Wins The 2019 Poker Masters Purple JacketEach event of the series will award both PokerGO Tour points and rankings points towards winning the Poker Masters Championship, with the latter points system mirroring the former. The player with the most points accrued by the end of the series will be awarded that title, along with the Purple Jacket® and $50,000 in added prize money.

The in-person version of the 2020 Poker Masters was ultimately canceled due to the global shutdown of live poker due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series moved online, with more than $34 million in prize money awarded across 30 events. Alexander Kolonias cashed for more than $1.2 million during the series, making 11 final tables and winning two titles to secure the player of the series award.

Sam Soverel won the last live Poker Masters in 2019, cashing in seven of the ten events and accruing $1,396,800 along the way. Soverel earned two titles, finished fourth three times, and also added both fifth and sixth-place finishes during the 10-day series.
