Poker pro Daniel Negreanu isn’t running his $25,000 fantasy poker competition for this year’s World Series of Poker, but SuperDraft is allowing poker fans to compete in similar contests throughout the 88-event series.
On the first day of the WSOP, SuperDraft announced that it will offer 21 freerolls over the course of the series with a combined prize pool more than $34,000. The first freeroll already kicked off with a fantasy contest for the $25,000 HORSE event, which is scheduled to wrap up Saturday, but the next one starts the same day with a $1,000 prize pool for the $25,000 no-limit hold’em high roller.
All of the freerolls will take place during events with at least a five-figure buy-in. The two six-figure buy-ins, the $250,000 super high roller on Nov. 18 and the $100,000 no-limit hold’em high roller on Nov. 21, will also feature SuperDraft freerolls. Prize pools range from $500 to $2,500, depending on the event.
The winner of the freeroll on Oct. 31 that corresponds with the $50,000 Poker Players Championship will also receive a seat into the $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event, along with the lion’s share of the prize pool.
Teams will consist of five poker players with each being assigned a multiplier. Each roster will include a Champion player that scores an additional 50% of their multiplier. The SuperDraft team will update the draftable field in real-time as players register. Points are awarded to players that finish in the top 20 spots and bonuses will be given to players that finish in the money.
You can also enter other SuperDraft daily contests by heading to their website. Other contests will have different formats, including three-player rosters, 10-player rosters, 50/50 tournaments and large-field events.
