The first episode of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour was aired across the UK and Ireland in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Sept. 5 on Channel 4 at 1:05 a.m.
The 22-part series follows the final table action at each of the 11 stops on the GUKPT. Each event is split across two programs, ensuring that as many hands as possible from the final tables can be shown. Tonight's show is the first half of leg one, which took place in Bolton in January 2007.
The show is presented by Dougie Anderson with journalist, broadcaster, and London EPT winner Victoria Coren leading the commentary throughout the series. In tonight's show, she is joined in the commentary box by Roland De Wolfe.
Along with all the final table poker action, the shows profile the finalists in their day-to-day lives, send up players who thought anyone wanted to hear about their bad-beat tales, and include a roundup of what happened in the tournament before the final table was reached.
The show airs every Tuesday night until Oct. 23 when it will be joined by an additional show on Sunday night.
