WPT Gulf Coast Poker Championship Starts Today

Card Player to Provide Tournament Coverage

The $10,000 World Poker Tour Gulf Coast Poker Championship starts at 3 p.m. EST today, and Card Player reporters are there at the Beau Rivage to cover all of the action of this four-day event. Click here to view the tournament page.

This is the first major poker tournament to be held in Biloxi, which, despite being basically destroyed by Hurricane Katrina two years ago, will soon pass Atlantic City as the second-largest casino market in the U.S.

This is the fifth WPT event out of the 18 that are open to the public and will be filmed and broadcast as part of the sixth season of the show. This season will be the first to appear on GSN starting in January, following High Stakes Poker.
