Pennsylvania Reports $375.6M In Gambling Win In FebruaryGaming Revenue Up 24% Year-Over-Year |

Casinos in the Keystone State turned in another strong month.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Thursday that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of legal gaming during February 2022 was $375,678,415 an increase of 24.41% compared to revenue generated in February 2021.
Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming was $155,874,834 during February 2022.
Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and VGTs.
Slot machines in the retail casinos generated the bulk of the revenue, with the one armed bandits winning $194,692,492 from gamblers, a 33.49% increase compared to the $145,851,166 generated in February 2021.
The number of slot machines in operation in February 2022 was 26,154 compared to 26,358 at the casinos in February 2021. Tax revenue from the slots machines in February 2022 was $99,952,675.
Table games generated $74,372,715 last month, an increase of 29.57% from February 2021 when revenue from those games was $57,399,564.
Total tax revenue from table games play during February was $12,009,201.
Online casinos also grew greatly year-over-year. Casino games offered online generated gross revenue of $102,419,293 during February 2022, compared to $77,788,457 in February 2021. That was an increase of 31.66%.
Tax revenue generated from online casinos during February 2022 was $42,255,078.
The state reported total sports wagering handle during the month of $597,064,049, up 17.18% above the February 2021 total of $509,547,820.
The books reported losing $442,847 during February, as it was apparently a bad Super Bowl for the books. February 2021 saw $16,379,807 in sports betting win.
