Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts’ sports betting operation has inked an ambassador deal with a star softball player.
The sportsbook announced that it signed AJ Andrews, Major League Baseball Network (MLBN) on-air personality, and the first female to win the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, as the company’s newest brand ambassador and content creator.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to dive further into the sports betting industry,” said Andrews. “As I continue to advocate for more opportunities for women in sports, I’m excited to have this new platform to creatively share and inspire others.”
As a professional softball player, Andrews is known for winning a Rawlings Gold Glove Award in 2016, an award previously exclusive to the best defensive fielders in Major League Baseball. Andrews was a star in college at Louisiana State University.
The sportsbook said that it is “proud to welcome her to the team as a new personality in sports betting.” Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
