U.S. casino win continued the hot streak this winter with the highest-grossing February on record, according to an announcement from the American Gaming Association.

“February revenue was driven by the continued growth of slot revenue and sustained strength of sports betting and iGaming,” the AGA, the commercial casino industry’s top lobbying group said.

Combined commercial gaming revenue from land-based casino games, sports betting, and internet casino gaming reached $4.39 billion, up 16.1 percent from February 2020—the last full pre-pandemic month of casino operations.

In February, retail and online/mobile sportsbooks in 26 states generated $324.6 million in revenue, up 40.3 percent from 2021 when commercial sports betting was live in 20 states.

Revenue from online casino gambling in Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia was a combined $373.4 million in February, up 46.1 percent year-over-year.

The month of February also marked 12 straight months with at least $4 billion in national commercial gaming win. That’s a first for the market.

Through the first two months of 2022, $8.92 billion in commercial gaming revenue was generated, an all-time high for a start to a calendar year.
