The two largest events of the 2022 World Series of Poker Online, in terms of total prize pool, both crowned champions on Sunday, July 10.
The WSOPO $7,777 buy-in no-limit hold’em high roller event drew a field of 161 entries to create a final purse of $1,468,023 that was paid out among the top 30 finishers. In the end, the lion’s share of the money went to the UK’s Harry Lodge, who emerged victorious with his first bracelet and the top prize of $396,666.
The England native defeated a stacked final table to secure the gold, and apparently did so while playing further up the Las Vegas strip.

This was the largest recorded score of his career, topping the $344,888 he earned as the third-place finisher in the $888 ‘crazy eights’ event in 2017.
Joining Lodge at the final table were World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour champion Mike ‘YagamiLight’ Watson (6th – $73,401), six-time bracelet winner Daniel Daniel ‘DNegs’ Negreanu (5th – $88,081), four-time bracelet winner David ‘dpeters17’ Peters (4th – $102,762), and two-time bracelet winner Daniel ‘DLAZ14’ Lazrus (3rd – $132,122).
With all of the multi-time bracelet winners out of the way, it then came down to a head-up showdown between two accomplished players who were both looking for their first title at the series. Lodge was ultimately able to beat out Andrew ‘RobertB14’ Robl to capture the title. Robl took home $231,214 as the runner-up.
The $1,000 no-limit hold’em championship event drew 1,476 total entries, building a prize pool of $1,328,400. After more than 11.5 hours of online action, Yevgeniy ‘Kazak132’ Minakrin came away with his first bracelet and the top prize of $238,315.
This was Minakrin’s first record six-figure tournament payday. Prior to this victory, his top cash came when he placed fourth in a Mid-States Poker Tour main event in Shakopee, MN back in 2014 for $30,214.
The top 207 finishers made the money in this event, with 10-time bracelet winner Phil Ivey being the first knocked out after the bubble burst. Other notables to make deep runs included WPT champion Justin Young (28th – $5,712), three-time bracelet winner Georgios Sotiropoulos (21st – $7,041), bracelet winner Joseph Cheong (18th – $8,635), five-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb (16th – $8,635).
Minakrin beat out 2022 EPT Monte Carlo main event third-place finisher Dragos ‘luxifer03’ Trofimov heads-up to lock up the bracelet. Trofimov earned $147,585 for his strong showing, increasing his lifetime earnings to more than $1.1 million in the process.
