World Poker Tour Announces The Return Of The WPT World Championship At Wynn Las Vegas To End Season XXI

The Tournament Festival Will Run From November 29 To December 23

The World Poker Tour has finalized the release of their Season XXI schedule with the announcement of the return of the WPT World Championship to Wynn Las Vegas. The festival will run from Nov. 29 to Dec. 23 on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada.

“The WPT World Championship festival was such an extraordinary milestone during our 20th season last year, thanks to our partner Wynn Las Vegas and the enthusiastic support of the players,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “It is our hope that we have started a tradition in poker that we can enhance and add to each season. We look forward to making this year’s WPT World Championship even more memorable for players.”

Headline events for the series include the WPT Prime Championship from Dec. 7-12, the WPT Ladies Championship from Dec. 16-18, and the WPT World Championship from Dec. 12-18. Other notable events on the schedule include a Mystery Bounty that will take place from Dec. 18-21, and the Seniors Event will run on Dec. 6-8.

Eliot HudonThe WPT World Championship that ran last year at Wynn Las Vegas won 2022 Event of the Year at the fourth annual Global Poker Awards. It attracted a field of 2,960 entries with a total prize pool worth $29,008,000 that easily topped the $15 million guarantee. Eliot Hudon was the winner, and he claimed a top prize worth $4,136,000.

“After paying out more than $53 million in total prize money last December, we are excited for the return of the WPT World Championship at Wynn,” said Ryan Beauregard, Executive Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas. “Due to last year’s incredible turnout and the strong rapport we built with WPT, we have extended the festival dates and will create a tournament schedule to make 2023 even more memorable.”

The full schedule for the WPT World Championship festival is still getting worked out, but here is how the remaining schedule for the second half rounds out after most of it was announced just weeks ago:
