Pedro Garagnani was the last player standing in the 2023 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series London $30,000 turbo bounty no-limit hold’em event, defeating a 96-entry field to earn $459,000 and his debut Triton title.

With this victory, Garagnani became the first Brazilian player ever to secure a trophy on the tour. This accomplishment would have taken place regardless of who came out on top in the heads-up battle for the title, as Garagnani was joined by countryman Bruno Volkmann (2nd – $375,300) in the final two.

“I’m super happy,” Garagnani told Triton reporters. “It was my first Triton title and the first Triton title for a player from Brazil and I’m very honored.”

This was Garagnani’s first title and fourth final-table finish of the year. The 756 Card Player Player of the Year points he locked up with the win was enough to catapult him into 87th place on the 2023 POY leaderboard presented by Global Poker.

The top 15 finishers split up the $1,920,000 from the main prize pool. Notables that cashed included two-time POY award winner Stephen Chidwick (14th), World Poker Tour champion Jonathan Jaffe (13th), three-time bracelet winner Yuri Dzivielevski (11th), two-time Triton champion Webster Lim (8th), and Masashi Oya (3rd).

This was the second podium finish of the series for Volkmann, who had placed third in the $25,000 seven-max event earlier this series for $324,000. He now has more than $3.8 million in recorded tournament earnings.

Here is a look at the payouts and POY points awarded at the final table:
