After more than a decade on the shelf, PokerStars is bringing back the North American Poker Tour. The NAPT is set to return this fall, with the first stop being held at Resorts World in Las Vegas from Nov. 4-12. The series will take place in the lead-up to the first-ever Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on Nov. 18, with PokerStars’ partner Oracle Red Bull Racing among the contenders.

Highlights from the schedule include a $5,300 buy-in high roller tournament(Nov. 10-12), a $550 buy-in PokerStars Cup event (Nov. 9-12), and the marquee $1,650 main event (Nov. 6-11). A full listing of events and dates is expected soon.

“We are delighted to announce the return of this iconic series and once again hold the NAPT for poker players in North America. We’re working hard to ensure that this is a spectacular series and can’t wait to head to Las Vegas to get the show on the road,” said Steve Preiss, VP for PokerStars North America.

“We are thrilled to partner with PokerStars as we celebrate the return of the North American Poker Tour with the first stop at Resorts World Las Vegas,” said Leon Wheeler, Director of Poker Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas. “NAPT Las Vegas is sure to bring players in from all over the globe, and we look forward to hosting them once again at our world-class property.”

The NAPT first debuted in 2010, with that year’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure being run under that banner. Card Player’s own Barry Shulman placed third from a field of 1,529 entries in that event, with Harrison Gimbel securing more than $2.2 million as the champion of that $10,300 buy-in tournament.

The tour halted operations midway through its second season due to the shutdown of US operations by PokerStars in the wake of poker’s Black Friday. The first season featured seven events, with three run in season 2 before the tour went on a 12-year hiatus.
