Vladas TamasauskasVladas Tamasauskas is on fire! The Lithuanian poker pro scored his first ever victory at the PokerGO studio in event no. 1 of the Poker Masters, and then followed that up with a sixth-place showing in event no. 2.

Event no. 3 was once again a $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament, and once again, Tamasauskas was the last person standing. This time the 28-year-old defeated a field of 87, earning $208,800.

The three-for-three start brings Tamasauskas’ series total to $506,400, and his 506 PGT points are nearly double that of his nearest competitor in the race for the Purple Jacket.

Just over two weeks ago, Tamasauskas also finished third in the EPT Barcelona main event, banking $438,750. He now has nearly $2.5 million in career tournament earnings. As a result of his run during the month of September, he has moved up to 76th place in the Card Player Player of the Year race.

Tamasauskas had a familiar face at the final table in Ren Lin, who had finished third in the first event. The Chinese pro improved his run by one spot in event no. 3, banking $147,900 for a runner-up finish.

Ren LinThis was his 21st final table of the year, and the 400 POY points he picked up were enough to move him into fourth place behind Isaac Haxton, Nacho Barbero, and current leader Bin Weng.

The final table featured a number of pros already making their second final table of the series, including Daniel Rezaei (third), Alex Foxen (fourth), Michael Rocco (fifth), Dan Shak (eighth), and Filipp Khavin (ninth), as well as top players Chance Kornuth (sixth), and Andrew Lichtenberger (7th).

Former WSOP main event champion Ryan Riess finished 11th, marking his third in-the-money finish in as many events.

There are 10 events in total at the Poker Masters, which runs until Sept. 26 and features buy-ins ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. The best performing player throughout the series will be awarded the Purple Jacket.

The high-stakes festival began in 2017 and has been won by Steffen Sontheimer (2017), Ali Imsirovic (2018), Sam Soverel (2019), Michael Addamo (2021), and Sean Winter (2022).
