The 2023 World Championship of Online Poker features $80,000,000 in guaranteed prize money and hundreds of events spanning from Sept. 10 through Oct. 4 on PokerStars. While there have been many big winners crowned during the past several weeks of WCOOP action, the runaway story of the festival has been the incredible title spree of British poker pro Benny Glaser.
The five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner has accumulated seven victories so far during this year’s WCOOP, bringing his career total to 15. Both his haul for this year’s festival and his overall number are records.
Glaser, who plays as ‘RunGodlike’ online, has also won ten Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) events over the years, growing his combined COOP total to 25 titles. As you might have guessed, this is also a record number.
The 34-year-old took to social media on Saturday, Sept. 30 to share the news of his latest victory.

Glaser is currently amidst one of his most prolific extended runs on the tournament scene. The Southhampton resident closed out 2022 with a huge score, placing second in the largest World Poker Tour event ever held, the WPT World Championship. His runner-up showing from a field of 2,960 entries in that $10,400 buy-in tournament saw him take home a career-high payout of $2,830,000.
During this year’s World Series of Poker, Glaser came out on top in the $10,000 triple-draw deuce-to-seven lowball championship. He bested a field of 130 entries to earn his fifth bracelet and $311,428. The victory extended his lead as the UK’s top bracelet winner, giving him a three-win lead over the eight players tied for second with two WSOP titles.
Glaser’s first five victories during this year’s WCOOP all came in non-hold’em games.
He began by outlasting a field of 178 entries in the $109 buy-in Badugi event, earning $3,550. He backed that up by besting 91 entries in the $1,050 deuce-to-seven triple draw lowball championship event, adding another $22,650. Next up was the $1,050 no-limit single-draw deuce-to-seven lowball tournament, which drew 51 entries. Glaser emerged victorious, cashing out for $19,490 as the champion. The $2,100 pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better six-max event had 70 entries, which meant that Glaser secured a healthy payday of $44,201 as the winner. He completed his mixed-game run by taking down the $1,050 no-limit five-card draw event. He as awarded $14,207 in that tournament after outlasting a 34-entry turnout.
Glaser’s first no-limit hold’em victory came in the $320 buy-in six-max event. He outlasted a field of 1,175 total entries to earn his largest top prize yet in the series: $55,706.
After that win, Glaser posted, “Genuinely beyond absurd. This one was a big one too. I’m incredibly happy and grateful. And thanks for all the love this series, everyone.”
Somehow, he was not yet finished piling up the wins. His most recent victory came in the $1,050 buy-in six-max turbo no-limit hold’em event. He outraced 195 entries in the fast-paced affair, securing his seventh win of the series and the top prize of $38,894.
