PokerStars’ North American Poker Tour is back after a 12-year hiatus.

The NAPT will start its comeback tour this November at Resorts World Las Vegas. The kickoff stop is set to run from Nov. 4-12 on the Las Vegas Strip, with the series leading into what will arguably be the event of the year in Sin City: the first-ever Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix taking place on Nov. 18. PokerStars’ partner Oracle Red Bull Racing will be among the contenders in that historic F1 race.

Some of the marquee events from the upcoming NAPT Las Vegas schedule include the $1,500,000 guaranteed $1,650 main event (Nov. 6-11), a $5,300 buy-in high roller tournament (Nov. 10-12), a $550 buy-in PokerStars Cup event (Nov. 9-12). You can check out the full schedule on PokerStars’ official site.

“We are delighted to announce the return of this iconic series and once again hold the NAPT for poker players in North America. We’re working hard to ensure that this is a spectacular series and can’t wait to head to Las Vegas to get the show on the road,” said Steve Preiss, VP for PokerStars North America.

The main event is unlimited re-entry, with registration closing at the end of level 10 for each of the six starting flights. Players will start with 30,000 in chips with 40-minute levels and initial blinds of 100-100 with a big blind ante of 100. The final starting flight will feature a ‘last chance turbo’. It kicks off at 8:00 PM local time on Wednesday, Nov. 8, with levels reduced to 20 minutes in length. Flights 1A, 1C, and 1E will each begin at 11:00 AM on Nov. 6-8, while flights 1B and 1D kick off at 6:00 PM on Nov. 6-7.

“We are thrilled to partner with PokerStars as we celebrate the return of the North American Poker Tour with the first stop at Resorts World Las Vegas,” said Leon Wheeler, Director of Poker Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas. “NAPT Las Vegas is sure to bring players in from all over the globe, and we look forward to hosting them once again at our world-class property.”

The NAPT premiered in 2010, with that year’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure being run under that banner. Card Player publisher Barry Shulman placed third from a field of 1,529 entries in that event, with Harrison Gimbel securing more than $2.2 million as the eventual champion. Other notable winners include Tom Marchese, Jason Mercier, Galen Hall, and Vanessa Selbst, the tour’s only two-time main event champion.

The tour halted operations midway through its second season due to the shutdown of US operations by PokerStars in the wake of poker’s Black Friday. The first season featured seven events, with three having run in season 2 before the schedule was cut short.

More information about the NAPT can be found on the tour’s official website. More stops are expected to be announced in the coming months.

PokerStars is hosting a number of other big live tournament stops around the globe in the coming days and weeks. The 2023 European Poker Tour Cyprus festival kicked off on Oct. 11 and will continue through Oct. 22. The UK and Ireland Poker Tour Edinburgh picks up just a couple of days later, with events from Oct. 24-29.
