The Lee Family Collects Donations For 38 FamiliesPoker Player and media personality Bernard Lee has continued his annual Christmas tradition of helping the less fortunate for another year in 2023 to make it 13 years in a row of spreading holiday cheer.

Lee is a two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner with more than $2.36 million in career tournament earnings, and the goal of his initiative The Full House Charity Program is to pass out gift packages to families in the Boston region. There were 38 different families experiencing homelessness in the Boston area with 57 children that they were able to help near the end of 2023. Lee’s now young-adult children were on hand to play Santa as well to pass out gift bags consisting of books, toys, games, art supplies, and even much-needed winter clothing.

Lee launched his Full House Charity Program in February of 2011, and has since provided more than $100,000 worth of goods and funds to children-focused organizations in New England. The program has helped over 500 families and 800 children during its “lucky” run of 13 years.

“Whenever the holiday season approaches, my children and I become excited to continue our family holiday tradition,” stated Lee. “We look forward to this time of year as we enjoy finding the perfect gifts for these children. This event brings so much happiness to my family as we love the thought of these children opening their personalized gift packages. We are so very blessed to have a wonderful partner in FamilyAid, who delivers these packages to specific families in the Boston area. Even though my children are grown and in college, we all still look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.”

“FamilyAid is thrilled and grateful that Bernard Lee is again providing gifts to the children in our shelters this holiday season. His generosity comes at a time when families are facing more limited financial resources and housing challenges than ever. We hear from families every day that providing holiday gifts is daunting, if not impossible,” said FamilyAid President Larry Seamans. He continued, “Thanks to Bernard and his family, children in our care will have presents to enjoy, and parents will be relieved to see their children’s joy during this holiday season. We are once again thankful to Bernard and his children for their continued generosity and support.”

The Card Player Magazine columnist Lee also has three poker books, including Poker Satellite Success. Find Lee on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram @BernardLeePoker; and check out his podcast, The Bernard Lee Poker Show.
