Bernard Lee is celebrating the 17th anniversary of the Bernard Lee Radio Show this month with some big guests that hold major World Series of Poker bragging rights. For its anniversary the show will feature exclusive interviews with the 2023 WSOP Main Event champion, Daniel Weinman and the 2023 WSOP Player of the year, Ian Matakis. The highlight of Lee’s playing career was a 13th-place finish in the 2005 WSOP main event. Lee has racked up more than $2.5 million in tournament earnings, and he has won 10 titles during the course of his poker career.
“In 2022, I enjoyed my previous interview with Bernard so I was excited to come back on his show to discuss my (2023 WSOP) Main Event win. We had another memorable conversation and it was a great full circle moment,” stated Weinman.
Lee is from Wayland, Massachusetts near Boston, and he has been the voice of poker in New England on the airwaves since 2007. The show features interviews with the most popular stars in the game, up-and-coming players, and industry personalities. It is currently the longest running show/podcast in the poker industry.
“I want to thank all of my loyal listeners and fans for supporting my show for so many years. Over the past 17 years, it has thoroughly enjoyed interviewing such intriguing people, allowing me to produce my poker show. Lee is also the senior poker writer for ESPN.com. In 2021, Lee released his latest
book, Poker Satellite Success, published by D&B Poker. Additionally, Lee previously released two books, The Final Table, Volume I and Volume II, which are compilations of the Sunday Boston Herald poker columns he penned for seven years. Lee is also a poker instructor and has been a commentator for the WSOP. He is a former co-host of ESPN.com ’s weekly online poker show, ESPN Inside Deal. Recently, Lee has embarked on a new venture in the world of pickleball, where he captured the National Championship in singles at the 2023 Senior National Games held in Pittsburgh, PA.
