European Magazines Battle for Bragging Rights

Paddypowerpoker.com today announced details of the grand final of its Battle of the Mags competition. On Nov. 8, readers of Europe's top poker magazines are set to compete in a televised single-table tournament for the title and over £14,000 in major poker tournament entries.

The final table comprises eight players and is a winner-take-all affair. It features players from Ireland, the UK, Poland, Romania, Germany, and Denmark.

As well as the title, the champion wins free entry to the €3 million-guaranteed 2008 Irish Open as well as two European Poker Tour circuit events of his choosing.

The final table lineup is:

• Antepost: Grzegorz Swieboda (Poland)
• CardPlayer: Krzysztof Zajac (Poland)
• Flush: Daniel Ernstberger (Germany)
• Gambling Online Magazine: Farcus Radu (Romania)
• Online Gambler: Lars Henrik Buschmann Nielsen (Denmark)
• Poker Europa: Ronan McLughlin (Ireland)
• Poker Pro Europe: John Donnelly (Ireland)
• Total Poker: Tina Walker (UK)

The show premieres on Sky TV Channel 843 at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14. Repeats will run throughout the following week.

The paddypowerpoker.com Battle of the Mags grand final will be produced by So Productions at the Wapping Studios in South East London. Its executive producer is Sam Orams.
