The Charity Series of Poker continues a busy June lineup in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of their 2024 schedule back at one of the usual host spots on the tour at the Stirling Club. The Cops 4 Kids event will benefit the Las Vegas Metro Police Managers and Supervisors Charitable Foundation/Cops 4 Kids on June 14. The foundation supports children’s charities, and awards college scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the community. The tournament comes right on the heels of the CSOP Full Houses of Food event hosted the night before on June 13.
The silent auction will start at 5:30 pm when attendees will be treated to a cocktail hour with appetizers. After that comes the main event of the night, the charity poker tournament. The turbo-structured event begins at 7:00 PM and features a top prize worth $5,000 along with more than $9,000 in donated prizes.
The $300 buy-in event also includes unlimited $100 re-buys and add-ons (10,000 chips per re-buy, and 20,000 chips per add-on) until registration closes. There will be plenty of other final table and silent auction prizes up for grabs along with a 50/50 cash drawing.
Anyone is welcome to attend the dinner and silent auction for $100 without participating in the tournament. Attire for all of the events is business casual.
Established in 2014, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company founded to organize and promote charity poker tournaments and other events that raise money and awareness for worthy charities and causes. Poker professional Matt Stout is the founder and president of the CSOP. This upcoming event will be the 66th stop for the series as it continues a strong lineup of events.
Regarding this coming event, the CSOP website offered the following additional info:
“The Las Vegas Metro Police Managers and Supervisors Charitable Foundation / Cops 4 Kids was formed on January 23, 2012. We are a foundation that supports causes with a nexus to kids and our police professionals. We have provided college scholarships to children of our police leaders and supported kids causes. Examples include Project 150 and Klothes 4 Kids which provide needed services to historically underserved neighborhoods to create a world where every family and community is partnered to provide a healthy start to a bright future. In our first year we awarded $4k in scholarships and last year we were proud to award $30k in scholarships, in addition to our support of kids causes. We are looking forward to growing even more, and this summer we will award an additional $20k in scholarships earmarked for graduating high school seniors in our community. Our efforts into the future will help us continue with our mission and provide us the opportunity to serve even more kids in our community.”
