Dylan WeismanDylan Weisman is really good at pot-limit Omaha. In fact, he’s one of the best, and there’s a strong argument to be made that he currently stands at the top of the mountain.

The PLO specialist earned his second career World Series of Poker bracelet late Friday night, topping a massive field of 1,469 entries in the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event for $294,311.

“It’s very unique when you win a tournament,” Weisman said. “It usually takes a day or two to have it sink in, but I feel a lot of gratitude.”

His first bracelet came in 2021, winning the $1,000 PLO event for $166,461. He now has six final tables at the WSOP, all coming in PLO. In fact, his top 20 deep runs at the series have all included some variation of the game.

With nearly $4.1 million of his $5.6 million in career earnings coming in PLO, he is now the winningest PLO tournament player ever, narrowly edging out the likes of Eelis Parssinen, Stephen Chidwick, Ka Kwan Lau, Ben Lamb, Tommy Le, Shaun Deeb, and Jared Bleznick, according to the HendonMob.

Much of Weisman’s PLO earnings have come in high roller events away from the series, however, including a runner-up showing at Triton Montenegro for $1,666,090 just a few weeks ago. He also has PLO wins at the U.S. Poker Open, and PGT PLO Series.

The final stretch of his latest win may have felt like a high roller, despite the smaller buy-in and massive field, with PokerGO Tour regulars Steve Zolotow and Chino Rheem battling it out with Weisman three-handed.

Zolotow ultimately bowed out in third place for $140,077, which was actually the largest WSOP cash of the two-time bracelet winner’s career.

Rheem, who remains one of the more accomplished tournament players without a bracelet, settled for $196,191 as the runner up. This was his third second-place finish at the series.

Other notables who made a deep run included three-time bracelet winner and WSOP POY winner Dan Zack (10th), and PLO bracelet winners Matthew Parry (11th) and Richard Ashby (12th).

Earlier this year Weisman also won both a PGT Kickoff event and a PokerGO Cup event in no-limit hold’em. As a result of his latest victory, Weisman is now sitting in fifth place in the Card Player POY rankings.
