Latest Champions From Resorts World Las Vegas' Summer Poker Series

Check Out The Results From The Second Week of Action From The 82-Event Series Running June 6 - July 24

The 2024 Summer Poker Series is going full steam at Resorts World Las Vegas. The festival runs from June 6 – July 22 with 82 events, each sporting a guaranteed prize pool. All told, more than $900,000 in guaranteed money will be paid out along the way. There have already been 24 events completed. Last week we looked at the winners in the first 12 tournaments. Below are the results from events 13-24.

Event #13 – $10,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Christopher MarshallLucky no. 13 drew 148 entries at $200 a piece, building a prize pool of $24,420 to easily surpass the $10,000 guarantee.

The top 13 finishers earned a piece of that pot, with the largest chunk being awarded to Christopher Marshall. The San Diego resident walked away with $5,157 as the winner. This was his fourth final-table finish of the series, having also recorded a runner-up finish, a third-place showing, and a fifth-place run earlier this month.

Marshall now has nearly $148,000 in total tournament earnings, with nearly $10,000 of that coming from his success at Resorts World Las Vegas in June.

Event #14 – $5,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Richard MezaRichard Meza came out on top of a 63-entry field in event no. 14, earning $2,900 as part of an apparent deal that brought the tournament to a close.

This was the third recorded title for Meza, who now has more than $178,000 in total tournament scores under his belt. The Astoria, New York resident’s largest win came at Planet Hollywood back in 2017, when he took down a $600 buy-in event for nearly $94,000.

The top seven finishers cashed in this event. Lena Evans placed sixth for $676. This was her 90th recorded in-the-money finish, bringing her career earnings to nearly $241,000.

Event #15 – $10,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Thanh NguyenThe $10,000 guaranteed event held on Thursday, June 13 ended up with 100 entries. The $16,500 prize pool was divvied up amongst the final 12, with Thanh Nguyen ultimately capturing the title and a top payout of $3,428.

This was Nguyen’s second recorded title, and first since 2006. He now has nearly $130,000 in total scores to his name.

Martine Gomez finished fifth for $1,045. This was the second final-table finish for Gomez, who also placed second a few days earlier for $4,660.

Event #16 – $5,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Howard MazerThe nightcap event on June 13 saw 59 entries made by the time registration came to a close, resulting in a $9,735 prize pool.

Howard Mazer walked away with $3,505 as the champion. The Aliso Viejo resident now had nearly $60,000 in total tournament scores.

Canada’s Roman Bartko placed second for $2,171. This was his second final-table showing in a three-day span at this festival, having also placed sixth for $740 a couple of nights earlier.

Event #17 – $10,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

With 158 entries, event no. 17 saw its prize pool swell to $26,070. The top 18 walked away with prize money, including eventual champion Ravi Sharda.

The UK resident was awarded $5,406 for the win. This was just the 12th career cash for Sharda, who now has nearly $60,000 in lifetime scores.

Davor Bojovic of Slovenia earned $5,100 as the runner-up finisher.

Event #18 – $5,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Morale PerezThe Friday night event drew a strong field of 91 entries, tripling the $5,000 guarantee to pay out $15,015 to the top 12 finishers.

Morale Perez came away the victor, earning $2,716 and the title. This win came just a day removed from a third-place showing in event no. 15.

Event #19 – $10,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

William HallWilliam Hall was the last player standing in event no. 19. Hall overcame a field of 156 to earn $4,600 and his first recorded tournament title.

This was Hall’s third cash of the series, having finished seventh a day earlier and seventh again a week before that.

Krisztian Dora finished second for $4,025, while 2015 Mid-States Poker Tour Potawatomi champion Jason Mirza placed third for $3,038.

Event #20 – $5,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Alberto SabogaliAlberto Sabogali is the champion of event no. 20. He bested a 70-entry field, earning $2,331 as the champion.

Sabogali now has more than $704,000 in career earnings to his name, including five title runs. He has cashed in 182 tournaments over his career.

The Greenwich, CT resident’s largest win came in a turbo bounty $1,560 buy-in event at the 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open. He earned nearly $47,000 as the last player standing in that 164-entry tournament.

There were 134 entries made in event no. 21, building a prize pool of $22,110. David Savarese secured $3,584 and the title.

This was the Chestnut Ridge, NY resident first recorded live tournament win. It grew his total earnings to nearly $44,000.

Alan Porter earned $3,448 as the runner-up.

Event #22 – $5,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Domingue JimenezThe Sunday night tournament drew 66 entries, resulting in a prize pool of $10,890. The event came to an end thanks to a deal, with Domingue Jimenez being awarded the title and $3,038.

This was just the second recorded cash on Jimenez’s tournament resume. He also placed 12th in another night event at this series just a couple of days earlier.

Japan’s Kohsuke Yamada earned the same $3,038 score as the runner-up.

Von Prin survived a 161-entry field in event no. 23 to earn the title and the top prize of $4,916. This was the first recorded score for Prin.

Edward Cruz earned $4,562 as the runner-up finisher, while Allen Nielson cashed for $3,835 as the third-place finisher.

Ravi Sharda, who won event no. 17, fell just short of making the official final table, earning $600 for a tenth-place showing.

Event #24 – $5,000 Guaranteed $200 No-Limit Hold’em

Lawrence Dowling came out on top in event no. 24, overcoming a 92-entry field to earn $3,346. The Orlando, FL resident now has more than $155,000 in career earnings across 55 cashes.

Morale Perez, a few days removed from a victory in event no. 18, placed second for $3,065.
