PokerStars Sunday Million

PokerStars had 6,524 entrants in its Sunday Million tournament last night, making for a prize pool of $1,304,800. This was up decently from last week, when 6,366 entrants bought in. The United States led the charge at the final table, as five of the nine final-table participants were from the U.S., and three of those five were still remaining when it got down to fourhanded play. However, when it got down to heads-up play, it was an American versus a Norwegian, and weeminer would have to outlast his foe, Macknot, to take the title for the U.S. In the end, Macknot managed to best his opponent and snag the $187,630 first-place prize for Norway.

The final results were:
  1. Macknot - $187,630.24

The first-place prize was almost $198,000 last night, and a very respectable final table formed, with nine entrants eyeing the top prize. It was eventually just BluffMagCV and Kongsgaard remaining in the battle for the biggest payday. BluffMagCV was at the winning end of the final pot, and he pocketed $197,984 for first place.
