Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open: Tice, Ordet, and Moschel Win Big LateA Look At The Results From Three Big Events That Wrapped On The Final Day of The Massive Series |
|
The 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open featured a total of 61 events, with more than $8 million in guaranteed prize money to be paid out along the way. In the end, there was more than $15.6 million in total prize money awarded thanks to 16,636 total entries being made during the festival, according to the official Seminole Hard Rock poker blog.
Many of the largest events were positioned in the final few days of the series. Paul Snead topped a field of 865 in the main event, while Bryn Kenney extended his lead on the all-time money list by taking down the $25,500 high roller. Below we’ll take a look at three other big events that wrapped up on the final day of the 2024 SHRPO.
Event 58 – $10,000 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em Eight-Max $500k GTD
The $10,000 buy-in deep stack no-limit hold’em eight-max event attracted 115 entries, blowing away the $500,000 guarantee to build a final prize pool of $1,104,000. A three-way deal brought the tournament to a close in the end, with Landon Tice being awarded the title and the top payout of $246,300 thanks to his healthy chip lead over David Coleman (2nd – $198,900) and Matthew Sabia (3rd – $169,200).
This was the second-largest score yet for Tice, trailing only the $550,000 he secured as the runner-up in the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown main event earlier this year. He now has more than $2 million in career tournament earnings to his name.
This win also secured 600 Card Player Player of the Year points for Tice. With two wins and four final-table finishes so far this year, Tice now sits in 83rd place in the 2024 POY race standings presented by Global Poker.
Coleman now has five POY-qualified titles and 19 such final-table showings in 2024. With 7,220 POY points, he now sits in second place on the POY leaderboard. He is just 282 points behind current leader Adrian Mateos.
The top 15 finishers made the money in this event, with big names like four-time WPT champion Darren Elias (15th), two-time bracelet winner Martin Zamani (14th), Ren Lin (13th), and bracelet winner Byron Kaverman running deep.

Ordet now has $254,000 in recorded earnings across four cashes, all of which have come since this April.
Ordet overcame a field of 323 entries in this event, which did not surpass its seven-figure guarantee.
