WATCH: Players Battle For $700K Pot On High Stakes PokerAndrew Robl Gets Some Revenge With Pocket Kings |
|
Earlier in the 13th season of High Stakes Poker, Andrew Robl had kings cracked twice for $1 million. The winningest player in live-streamed cash games history was back on the show recently and was dealt pocket kings again for another massive pot, this time faring much better.
With blinds of $200-$400 with a $400 big blind ante, a $2,000 straddle was already in place. Robl raised to $6,000 with K K. Jennifer Tilly called with 8 7 and Nikhil ‘Airball’ Arcott three-bet to 45,000 with A K. Robl, who had $381,000 in front of him, took a gaze at Arcott’s stack, which sat at $308,000.
He decided to four-bet to $135,000 and Tilly folded. Arcott thought a bit before asking how much Robl had left. He then announced all in and received an immediate call.
At this point, Robl was a 66% favorite to win the hand with Arcott at 34%, according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator. The two agreed to run it twice, with Robl briefly considering three runs after remembering his past luck in this situation.
The first flop fell Q J 2, with Robl still ahead and a 74% chance to win the pot. However, an ace or a 10 could ship the pot to Arcott. He dodged both of those scenarios when the 3 came on the turn and the 3 on the river.
The second board saw a flop of K Q 4, giving Robl three of a kind and a 96% edge. The 10 offered a glimmer of hope for Airball, with any heart or jack on the river at least providing a measure of solace.
However, that didn’t happen as the 9 hit the felt and Robl dragged the mountain of chips, just the latest huge pot on the PokerGO show.
