PokerStars.Com European Poker Tour Dublin Generates €1.7 Million Prize Pool

Day One (B) at the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Dublin, being held at the RDS, Ballsbridge, attracted 132 players for a combined total of 221 entrants. The €7,700 buy-in (with €300 registration fee) created a total prize pool of €1,701,700, and 122 players return today for day two.

Among those taking to the felt yesterday were Mickey Wernick, John Tabatabai, George McKeever, Julian Thew, Katja Thater, Annette Obrestad, Thomas Wahlroos, Liam Flood, Roy Brindley, Thor Hansen, Juha Helppi, Roland De Wolfe and Ram Vaswani.

De Wolfe and Vaswani were early casualties. Brindley exited late in the evening, as did Wernick, and when the dust settled, three local players were among the chip leaders.Dave Colclough is among the chip leaders
