The PokerStars staff announced two more stops to the 2025 PokerStars European Poker Tour schedule. On Monday, they revealed Malta and Prague would run during the final few months of the year.

The additions make four stops for the 2025 iteration of the EPT, joining Monte-Carlo and Barcelona. Originally, there was a fifth festival scheduled this month for Paris. However, PokerStars canceled that event due to “unforeseen changes in French government policies.”

The 2025 EPT Malta festival is the earlier of the two additions, running from Oct. 1-12 at the InterContinental Malta. The stop was absent from the tour for nearly a decade.

The last time Malta was on the tour was 2016, when Belarus’ Aliaksei Boika topped 486 entries in the €5,300 main event for €355,700.

While the full schedule for the 12-day series has not yet been released, PokerStars cemented dates for two key events. The EPT Malta €5,300 main event will run Oct. 6-12, and will be preceded by the PokerStars Open €1,100 main event from Oct. 1-6.

The PokerStars Open concept was announced late in 2024, a move that will replace several popular existing regional tours while opening the door to hosting similar events in new markets.

“Our PokerStars Open stops are going to provide players with incredible experiences, with each location having its own unique feel that will come together as a European series that both ladders up to the EPT and stand up in their own right. We know that players enjoy traveling to other countries for tournaments so we’ve decided to make the move to the PokerStars Open as it gives us a lot more flexibility to throw million-guaranteed events anywhere in Europe, not just where we have established national tours,” said Cédric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events Operations at PokerStars.

This year’s EPT Prague series is slated for Dec. 3-14 at the Hilton Prague. Last year, the €5,300 main event drew a record-setting field of 1,458 entries. Portugal’s Pedro Marques captured the title and the top prize of $1,021,257 USD.

The PokerStars Open in Prague is set for Dec. 3-8, with the main event running Dec. 8-14.

Here’s the 2025 EPT schedule:

Monte Carlo 4/30 – 5/10 Sporting Monte Carlo
Barcelona 8/18 – 8/31 Casino Barcelona
Malta 10/1 – 10/12 InterContinental Malta
Prague 12/3 – 12/14 Hilton Hotel Prague
