Michael Rossitto secured his first-ever PokerGO Tour title by taking down event no. 3 at the 2025 U.S. Poker Open. The poker professional based out of Las Vegas bested a field of 109 entries in the $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament, earning $277,950 as the last player standing.
This was the third-largest payday yet for Rossitto, trailing only the $604,637 he earned as the 2023 Wynn Millions main event champion and the $340,698 he took home as the winner of a $600 event at the WPT World Championship series later that same year. His overall earnings now sit at $4.3 million.
Rossitto was also awarded 600 Card Player Player of the Year points for the win. This was his second final-table finish so far, having previously placed fourth in a $1,100 event at the Wynn Millions. His 1,056 total points puts him inside the top 150 in the 2025 standings. He also moved into second place in the USPO series-long points race thanks to the 278 PGT points that came with this triumph.
The top 16 finishers in this event all earned a share of the $1,090,000 prize pool. Big names like Dylan Linde (12th), Stephen Chidwick (10th), Jeremy Ausmus (9th), and Aram Zobian (7th) all ran deep, but only six contenders bagged up for day 2 inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino Las Vegas.
Three-time bracelet winner Jim Collopy held the lead to start. The first knockout of the day saw Matthew Wantman lose a classic preflop race with pocket nines against A-K suited of Andrew Moreno. The World Poker Tour champion earned $54,500 as the sixth-place finisher.
Isaac Kempton soon followed, with his QJ
losing to the A
K
of Christian Roberts a preflop showdown. Neither player connected and ace high was enough to earn Roberts the pot. Kempton settled for $70,850. This fifth-place showing increased his career haul to more than $5.5 million.
Roberts got the last of his stack in with top pair, only to find himself up against an overpair of kings for Moreno. The turn gave Roberts an open-ended straight draw, but a brick on the end sent him packing in fourth place ($98,100). This grew his lifetime earnings to more than $2.1 million.

There was plenty of movement around the leaderboard during an extended three-handed battle. By the time the next key hand arose, Rossitto and Moreno were situated in a virtual tie for second place behind Collopy. The two shorter stacks squared off in a preflop showdown that pitted Moreno’s A-9 against the pocket eights of Rossitto. Neither player’s hand connected with the board and Rossitto doubled into a tie for the chip lead.
Moreno was left with just a couple of big blinds after that, and was soon all-in with Q4
facing A
8
for Rossitto. Ace high was best by the river, which meant that Moreno’s run had come to an end in third place ($125,350). The 2021 Wynn Millions champion increased his career earnings to more than $5.2 million with this podium finish.
That knockout put Rossitto in the lead at the start of heads-up play, with 7,425,000 to the 6,200,000 of Collopy. The gap had expanded even further before the final hand of the tournament was dealt. Collopy ripped from the button for 4,925,000 with 33
and Rossitto called off with A
J
. The board came down A

9
8
10
and Collopy was eliminated as the runner-up ($174,000). The reigning Poker Masters series champion increased his lifetime tournament haul to more than $11.8 million with this score.
