UK Pub Chain Signs Poker DealCastro Gaming Company to Supply Regent Inns with Online Sign-Up Facility |

Regent Inns, which operates poker in 40 licensed venues in the UK, has signed a deal with the Castro Gaming Company to let customers sign up and reserve a seat at poker tournaments via www.playpubpoker.com.
Buy-ins for the pub tournaments are £2.50 or £5, and numbers are capped at 40 with a maximum prize of £100.
Regent said it was planning a PlayPubPoker championship next year running across several venues, including the famous comedy club Jongleurs' venues.
Gastro Gaming Company spokesman Nicholas Hagen said, "Poker is an ideal fit for Regent Inns, whose brands are synonymous with live entertainment."
Poker and other equal-chance games have been legally allowed in British pubs since September this year. The venues cannot charge a fee or take a percentage from stakes or prizes.
