Sexton Hosting Charity Poker Tourney For Paralyzed Vets

It Takes Place Feb. 5 in Washington D.C.

Mike Sexton Founded in 1946, the Paralyzed Veterans of American is a congressionally chartered service dedicated to assisting the needs of veterans with spinal cord injury or dysfunction, and on Feb. 5 in Washington, D.C., the organization will host its first-ever charity poker tournament and live auction.

World Poker Tour commentator and 2006 World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions winner Mike Sexton will emcee the event. Former Senate Majority Leader Robert J. Dole, talk-show host Montel Williams, and legendary NASCAR driver Richard Petty are to serve as honorary committee members.

An individual ticket costs $1,000, which includes a seat into the poker tournament and an invitation to the general reception. For non-poker players, gallery seats are $250. There are also sponsorship opportunities from $10,000 to $100,000. The event will take place at the J.W. Marriot at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C.

The first-place finisher in the event will receive a pass for Richard Petty’s Driving Experience, as well as trips to Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida, with four tickets to Disney World. Each trip will include roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations. The winner will also receive a seat into the WPT L.A. Poker Classic.
