Urbestm8 Bests Event No. 2: Pot-Limit Omaha Knockout
Thursday’s Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII (FTOPS) events took a break from the traditional hold’em, the first of which explored the world of pot-limit Omaha. The event, which boasted a field of 1,183, generated a $236,600 prize pool, $52,000 of which was set aside for the eventual winner. This event featured a knockout bonus, and for every runner that busted, $40 was credited to the player who did the dirty work.
Notables that made the money were Full Tilt Pros Andy Bloch, Aaron Bartley, Steve Zolotow,and Scott Fischman, who narrowly missed the final table, finishing in 12th place. Red-named Full Tilt Pro Sigi Stockinger made the final table of the event before busting out in fifth place ($14,503). In the end, urbestm8 got the best of KudelyKQ to take home the exclusive gold FTOPS jersey, the gold FTOPS jersey avatar, and, of course, the lion’s share of the money.

WCJOKER by a Nose in Event No. 3: H.O.R.S.E.
The second event of the day was the first mixed-game tournament of the series, H.O.R.S.E. The $500 buy-in event attracted 623 entrants, creating a prize pool of $311,500. The last person standing would walk away with more than $72,000 for his efforts.
Full Tilt Pros Bill Edler and Farzad Bonyadi finished deep, but Jens Voertmann was the only man with a red screen name to make the final table, finishing in sixth place. It came down to WCJOKER and Jerry “DontBluffMePLZZ” VanStrydonck heads up for the title, and the joker came out on top.
