Tom 'SBRounder' WestLast night’s event in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII (FTOPS) was a much-anticipated tournament for many of the online poker professionals. The $1,000 buy-in shorthanded no-limit hold’em tournament, which replaced the normally scheduled $1K Monday, had a lofty guarantee of $1 million. However, like Sunday’s $1 million-guaranteed event (won by Erick Lindgren), this event easily surpassed its guarantee when 1,649 players entered to generate a total prize pool of $1,649,000. The first-place finisher would leave the table with $330,000.

Two red-named Full Tilt-sponsored pros made it into the top 100 in the event, Stefan Rapp and Brad Booth. Booth went out in 65th place and Rapp left the tournament shortly thereafter in 60th, both earning $3,298. Two notable Wests, Tim “Tmay420” West and Tom “SBRounder” West (pictured above left), both made the top 21 spots in the event. Tim finished in 21st ($8,245) and Tom came in 14th ($12,203).

Corey 'muchaka' Cheresnick When it got down to threehanded play, it was Corey “muchaka” Cheresnick (pictured at right), gautchos, and fish_lovr vying for the huge top prize. Muchaka’s dreams were dashed, however, when he was eliminated in third place ($148,410). Gautchos then reeled in fish_lovr to pocket the first-place payday. Gautchos moved into third place in the Card Player Online Player of the Year race with his win.

The final results were:

  1. gautchos — $329,800
  2. fish_lovr — $211,896
  3. Corey “muchaka” Cheresnick — $148,410
  4. BWgot_milf — $110,483
  5. Drewkamm — $79,152
  6. TK420 US — $53,592
