Howard Lederer Hosts Event No. 11

Howard Lederer, host of event No. 11Things were pretty quiet on the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII (FTOPS) front last night as the only event running was the $200 buy-in Omaha eight-or-better event, hosted by Howard Lederer. Despite the lack of overall activity, the first exclusively eight-or-better event of the series easily surpassed its $200,000 guarantee, as the 1,333 entrants created a $266,600 prize pool. The first-place finisher would walk away with not only a $58,652 payday, but also the gold FTOPS jersey and avatar.

Lederer failed to do what fellow Full Tilt-sponsored pro Erick Lindgren did and capture his own event, but a few fellow men in red were able to sneak into the final 135 to walk away with some cash. Scott Fischman, Jon “PearlJammed” Turner, Jordan Morgan, and Huck Seed represented the site with in-the-money finishes.

When play got heads up, pycb took out Rex55 to earn his second FTOPS cash (the other was in pot-limit Omaha at the FTOPS V) and capture the title.

Here are the final results:
  1. pycb — $58,652
  2. Rex55 — $37,324
  3. Beef_Curtains — $26,993
  4. craigmack86 — $21,661
  5. BrokeLad — $16,342
  6. Jacksy7 — $11,997
  7. WHENTHUGSCRY — $7,731
  8. dgang — $5,598
  9. Foyanchi — $3,999
