The Golden Nugget, located in Downtown Las Vegas, has announced that it will join the summer poker action by hosting a month-long tournament series June 6-July 6 called the Grand Poker Series.

Festivities kick off with Cards Celebrities and a Cause, a charity celebrity poker tournament hosted by Montel Williams to benefit multiple sclerosis awareness and research. The buy-in for this event is $1,000, and it is open to the public. Half of the money generated from the buy-ins will be donated to the Montel Williams MS Foundation, while the other half will be awarded in prize pool money.

The rest of the events, excluding the Grand Final, feature buy-ins ranging from $200 to $500 and include mostly no-limit hold’em, but also H.O.R.S.E., limit Omaha eight-or-better, pot-limit Omaha, pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better, as well as seniors and ladies events. The championship tournament is scheduled for July 5, and it is a $1,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. Along with the first-place money, the winner will also earn an exclusive bracelet.

Registration for all events is open now. For a complete schedule of events, click here.
