The second-to-last stop on season four of the PokerStars European Poker Tour is in San Remo, Italy, and it is close to naming its next EPT champion, who will take home $1.3 million. The buy-in for this event was €5,000 (approximately $7,200).

Of the 700 players who started, 208 players entered day 2. The money bubble popped with 72nd place, and day 2 ended with 31 players left. The chip leader going into day 3 was Jason Mercier of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with 684,000 in chips. Also near the top of the chip counts was Team PokerStars pro Dario Minieri, with 595,000 in chips.
