Day 2 of the WSOP Circuit Event at Caesars PalaceFinal Table Set |
|
The final 54 returned to the tournament room at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to battle down to the final table. Along the way, 36 players would seperate themselves from the pack just enough to finish in the money and walk away with a bit of a profit. The remaining field was stacked with seasoned professionals from top to bottom, all jockeying to put themselves in position to win the first-place prize of just under $500,000.
The field was quickly thinned to 5 tables in just under half an hour, but the tournament slowed to a snail's pace on the bubble, and continued at the same rate until the final nine were set. Notables finishing in the money included Peter "Nordberg" Feldman, J.C. Alvarado, Alan "Ari" Engel, Steve Wong, Danny Wong, Mark Newhouse, Adam "csimmsux" Geyer, Tony Cousineau, Nenad Medic, Matt "hazards21" Gianetti, Jimmy Tran, and Jason Riesenberg.
The final table will begin tomorrow at 2 p.m. PST. Leading the way is Ben Fineman, and he's followed by notables Blair Hinkle, Doug Lee, Allen Cunningham, Ralph Perry, and Justin Bonomo.
